Loose Chippings - the surface dressing schedule for North Lincolnshire.

Loose chippings can cause a problem to riders - knowing where surface dressing work is due to take place can help you plan your ride out.

As part of the maintenance programme of the roads surface dressing is carried out during the summer months. This usually consists of putting stone chippings onto the road to improve the surface and increase the life of the road.

Loose chippings are a hazard to motorbikes for a week or two after the work has been done. Listed below are the roads where surface dressing is due to be carried out in North Lincolnshire.

The work is not done at other times of the year as the temparture and weather conditions are critical for surface dressing to be effective. Even during the summer bad weather will delay the work.
